Recommendations of 1st International
Conference held from November 16-20, 2008 :
The conference was felt to be timely as the societal needs for translational reasearch
from lab to industry production and commercialisation is in demand.
The conference proved to be a platform for transfer of legacy from older generation
to newer generation in term of providing focus in the area and fruitful delibrations.
This appeal of the conference motivated the young scientists to take up the activity
of modern drug deveopment from natural products.
There is a great scope of Natural Products studies in the form of numerous new and
outstanding molecules and therefore researchers need
to work in the area enthusiastically
as new and more efficient tools are now available.
For the dissemination of information at both national and international level, the Deparrtment
of Natural Products at NIPER should keep this lead role in providing this interactive
platform in future as well.
